Radioactive Dice Decay Simulation

A simple, powerful and flexible computer simulation of the “Radioactive Dice” classroom experiment, which models radioactive decay. A pseudo-random number generator is used to generate random numbers in lieu of dice, allowing users the ability to fine-tune the probability of decay. The decay constant and half-life are automatically calculated from the chosen probability and time unit and can be independently viewed in a range of units. This is a useful aid for students allowing them to see the relationship between these various measures. This software is suitable for teachers and students of A Level, Cert HE and 1st year undergraduate courses, and may even be useful for GCSE courses. It is licensed for educational and personal use only.
