• Wallpaper Changer is a piece of kit you can use to schedule multiple images to rotate as the desktop wallpaper at a specified time interval.

It contains an intuitive set of options that can be tackled not only by experienced users, but also those unfamiliarized with this type of software.

Before proceeding any further, you should know that it hasn’t been updated for such a long time that it no longer works properly on newer Windows versions.

The installation doesn’t take long and requires minimal attention, since there are no special settings or third-party offers involved. However, you must have .NET Framework installed, since it was developed with the aid of this platform.

As far as the interface is concerned, Wallpaper Changer adopts a large window with a neatly structured layout, showing all options available, where you can indicate a folder whose containing graphic files you want to take into account for the desktop wallpaper.

Unfortunately, there are no settings integrated to filter files by extension or other criteria. On the other hand, you can preview photos in the main app window, find out the full path of each file, put together a slideshow on the spot, modify the default desktop rotation time (minutes), as well as include the selected files in the rotation.

It didn’t hang, crash or prompt error messages in our tests. System resources consumption was minimal, thanks to the fact that it needed a low amount of CPU and memory to function normally.

On the other hand, there are many free tools out there offering the same features for free, especially when keeping in mind that Wallpaper Changer has compatibility issues with newer OS editions. Nevertheless, you can test the software application for yourself.
